About
I came back to acting after having my first child. At a time when everything was in flux - body, identity, creative potential - acting provided a way to reconnect with an earlier version of self. Since then I’ve had another child and still at the grind.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I attended an all-girls school and played a range of male roles on stage including Perchik (Fiddler on the Roof), Tin Man (The Wiz), and Dr. Dorn (The Seagull). While I was thrilled to FINALLY be cast in female roles in college at Georgetown, including Girl/Horse in a House of Illusions (The Balcony), and Ursula (Much Ado About Nothing), those early years in drag were foundational.
My On-Camera training includes study with Julia Crockett and Janine DiTullio at Kimball Studio, Christy Faison and Jamie Rudofsky at Village Acting Studio, in addition to UCB Improv and Movement. In the time I’m not auditioning, gardening, and full time mom-ing, I am a hobby photographer and Spanish professor at a Catholic college in Connecticut.
My guiding principle in acting is poorly paraphrased from Amy Poehler: to get out of my head and into the parade. Because it’s gonna pass you by.
